What If Calm Is Something We Can Practice?

You know what I've noticed?

When children get upset, we often tell them to calm down.

And I understand why.

We want them to feel better, and we want to help them through the moment.

But there’s something important to remember:

knowing how to calm down is a skill, and skills take practice.

Children can learn to recognize what’s happening inside, pause before reacting, and find ways to settle themselves.

And we can practice those skills with them, even when life is going well.

That’s one of the lessons I’d love to share with you in my latest video.

This is also why I created the 8 Life Stories. Each animated story introduces an idea about life, paired with Calm Mind practices that help children explore and practice what they’re learning.

If you’re looking for a simple way to bring these conversations into your home or classroom, our Back to School, Back to Life offer is available through October 15.

You can get all 8 Life Stories for $29.99, regularly $39.99.

Because calm isn't just something we hope children find. It's something we can help them practice.

Be well,
