The quiet guide that's always with us
Sep 22, 2026
You know what I've noticed?
We teach children how to read, solve problems, and understand the world around them. But we don't often help them notice the quiet guide that's already within them.
Have you ever thought about someone, only for them to call a few moments later? Or watched a dog curl up beside someone who wasn't feeling well?
Moments like these remind me that we're connected in ways that are easy to overlook. I believe we all have a natural intelligence, a quiet inner knowing that helps us respond to life with wisdom, compassion, and courage.
At Life Ingredients, we call it our Good Powerful System, or GPS.
I've learned that this inner guide doesn't become stronger because we're louder. It grows when we learn to pause, listen, and trust it a little more each day. And perhaps that's one of the greatest gifts we can share with our children: not all the answers, but the confidence to recognize their own inner wisdom.
Like anything meaningful, it takes practice.
A few quiet minutes before school. A story at bedtime. A conversation after a difficult day. These small moments often become the ones children carry with them for years.
Maybe guidance isn't something we give our children.
Maybe it's something we help them discover within themselves.
If you have a little time, come join me on YouTube for my latest video, What Is Self-Awareness? Understanding Your Inner Guidance. I’d love to share a little more about this quiet guide within us. Watch on YouTube
Be well,
